Inspiring Inclusion on International Women’s Day

This year’s International Women’s Day (IWD) theme is ‘Inspire Inclusion’ which resonates strongly with SafeNet, as inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.

Around the world, on this day of collective global activism, we are inspiring others to understand and value women’s inclusion. Through inclusion, there is a sense of empowerment and relevance, action to level the playing field and ultimately create a better more equal world for everyone.

In 2024, the International Women’s Day Campaign is sharing ways to commit to ‘Inspire Inclusion’ so that, across the world, women are included in all fields of endeavor.

This year’s International Women’s Day message is loud and clear…

  • When women aren’t present, we must ask: “If not, why not?”
  • When women are discriminated against, we must call out poor practice.
  • When the treatment of women is not equitable, we must take action.
  • And we must do this each time, every time.

We all have a part to play to inspire inclusion pro-actively at home, at work, in our local and global community.  The theme of inclusion is intersectional and recognises that to truly include women means to ‘openly embrace their diversity of race, age, ability, faith, body image and how they identify’.

As an organisation, we can commit to supporting women and girls by:

  • Recruiting, retaining and developing diverse talent
  • Supporting women and girls into leadership and non-traditional roles
  • Designing and building infrastructure to meet the needs of women and girls
  • Helping women and girls make informed choices about health and lifestyle
  • Supporting and elevating women and girls advancement in a wider range of areas including access to quality education and training; participation and achievements in sport; promote creative and artistic talent and support

To help us to continue to support women and girls experiencing abuse, please donate to SafeNet today.
